Of Crystal City, Texas age 86 went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 2, 2015. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 11, 1929 to Lonnie R. Hanna and Sylvia Sims. Ovonne in her 20 years of age, proudly obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas , and got her graduate degree at Texas A&M. She was a member of the Athena Study Club and Delta Kappa Gamma, Emmaus Community, Educator for the Crystal City Independent School District and a member of The First United Methodist Church for 50 years. She married David Darter in Austin on June 28, 1949. Ovonne is preceded in death by her parents; Lonnie R. Hanna and Sylvia Sims Hanna and husband, David Darter, DVM.She is survived by her sons, Michael Darter, Timothy Darter, and Sean Darter; sister, Wanda Kaatz. Mrs. Darter is also survived by her 3 nieces, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a plethora of friends and colleagues.
